Eagles drop home opener to Cowboys

The Eagles versus Cowboys rivalry’s latest edition last Friday resulted in a 49-0 win by the visitors. The Cowboys opened up a first quarter lead and stayed in control from there.

Joel Mendoza was the leading rusher with 61 yards on 22 totes of the ball. Nick Halverson had two carries for 38 yards, Jake Darland 11 carries for 37 yards and Mark Dawson 14 attempts for 31 yards. Thomas Matthes added two yards to the total. Halverson attempted three passes, and Darland one, with no completions.
