Eagles drop 46-0 game at B-K

Even though the struggle to find the end zone continues for the Eagle Grove varsity football team, they did enjoy moments of moving the chains in a 46-0 loss to the Broncos at Belmond last Friday. Head coach Bruce Dahlhauser still saw other positives in the outcome.

“Our adjustments we made during practice last week paid off, as we moved the ball better than we have all season,” said Dahlhauser. “I felt we executed well, and drove the ball well. A couple of big turnovers really hurt us. We came in knowing who their playmakers were, and they were as big a team as expected. They also hit us harder than expected, and showed confidence. I think when that happened, we weren’t quite sure what to do.”

Jeremy Weber led the ground attack from his quarterback position, gaining 71 yards on 18 carries. Brandon Stuhr compiled 33 yards on nine attempts, Julian Calderon 20 yards on two rushes and Graeham Schope five yards on seven carries. Weber was 4 of 8 through the air for 20 yards, with one pick, as Schope caught all four completions. Purchase a copy this week’s Eagle Grove Eagle to continue reading this article.
