Eagle volleyball season ends in Manson

Freshman Marisa Beecher gets the dig and keeps the ball in play

The Manson NW Webster Cougars used their home court advantage to eliminate the Eagles from 1A regional play with a straight set victory last Tuesday. Scores were 25-14, 25-9 and 25- 16. Team serving was at just under 79 percent, with Laine Morgan going 8 of 8 (one ace). Hannah Beecher was 6 of 6 (three), Marisa Beecher 5 of 7 and Emmy Huse 5 of 8 (one). Hannah Demory went 3 of 3, Kenzie Crail 2 of 5 and Emily Foster 1 of 1 to round it out.

M. Beecher set for four assists and Morgan two. Crail and Morgan swatted two kills each, with Demory and Huse making one apiece. Three ladies finished in double digit digs, with Crail at 15, M. Beecher at 14 and H. Beecher at 10. Morgan made seven saves of the ball, Brittney Osborn six, Mariana Gonzalez five and Delaney Asche-Molitor three. Huse grabbed two and Demory one.
