Eagle softball tries to get back in win column

The Eagle softball team lost a home game last Monday, June 10 to North Butler by an 11-1 score. The purple & gold scored that run in the bottom of the first as Laine Morgan ripped a double to score Cali Schultz after her base hit. They were not able to break through with much more offense than that, as Morgan would reach on one other single with Marisa Beecher and Sabrina Flumerfelt joining her with a single each.

Other stats show Morgan stealing a base and Lea Friedl drawing a walk.

Hannah Beecher took the loss in the circle, allowing eight earned runs with a walk and six K’s.

On Wednesday, they traveled to Armstrong and lost 16-6 to the host North Union. They scored one in the second inning, three runs in the third and two more in the fourth, only to still trail 13-6 as the Warriors were running on all cylinders on their home turf to build a big lead.
