Eagle softball team back on two-game win streak

After stopping a four-game losing streak with a 12-0 home victory in a short game over West Hancock last Wednesday, the Eagle Grove varsity softball team followed it up with a 7-4 win over CAL. Versus the Eagles from the north, the purple and gold plated six scores in a big sixth inning sandwiched between three-run efforts in the first and third frames.

Jarika Eisentrager was the only player to record multiple hits, going 2 for 3 with four RBI and two runs scored. Sadie Stuhr ripped a double in her lone plate appearance, along with collecting an RBI and scoring a run. Shelby Axtell and Hannah Beecher also reached on base hits, with each getting an RBI along with Hallie Jeske and Sarah Wilson. Laine Morgan and Beecher scored three runs each, with Cali Schultz also crossing the dish once along with Jozey Gump and Sydney Willard as courtesy runners.
