Eagle Grove winter sports schedules start next week

It’s time to begin another new sports season, as the Eagle Grove student-athletes prepare to open the winter schedules next week. Tuesday, December 3 the basketball teams travel to Forest City to take on the Indians. Action starts with the JV teams tipping off, followed by the varsity girls at 6:15 and the varsity boys at 7:30 p.m. They will open the home schedule next Friday night in hosting West Hancock.

The wrestlers also have a busy week as the travel to Manly next Thursday to take on Central Springs, Forest City and Belmond-Klemme. Mat action starts at 6:00 p.m. They go to Fairbank on Saturday for the Wapsie Valley Invitational which starts at 10 a.m.  Be watching for the annual Winter Sports tab due out on December 4th. It includes team preview stories, rosters, schedules and lots of photos of your Eagle student-athletes as they prepare for the upcoming seasons.
