Eagle Grove Hotel/Motel and Convention Center looking for investors

The Eagle Grove Hotel and Convention Center Committee held five separate informational meetings last week to deliver information and answer questions to possibly interested investors.

According to Eagle Grove City Administrator Bryce Davis, who is also a member of the informational committee, a total of more than 40 people were in attendance with an estimated 90 percent of those being local. T here are also Eagle Grove High School alumni and past residents who are looking at investing back in the community they love.

Davis said they also have three contractors who have expressed an interest in the project from a construction standpoint.

“There is a lot of interest in this project...50 percent of the funds have already been raised,” Davis said pleased with the results so far.

There are 48 stock options, valued at $25,000 each, available for investment in the estimated $1.2 million project.
