Eagle cross country competes at Emmetsburg

This past Monday, the Eagle Grove boys cross county team traveled to a big meet at Emmetsburg after the Ballard Invitational was cancelled due to a wet course. “It was a last minute deal,” stated head coach Ben Demuth about this meet.

“We needed a meet before Clear Lake (this Thursday) as our team has changed since Gilbert. We have never ran this before, but it was a nice source with a big hill to start and fishing with but otherwise mostly flat. All the guys had good splits. I think overall the variety is about where they should be right now.”
