Eagle boys 3rd, Lady Eagles 8th at WC Lynx Invite

The Eagle Grove varsity boys and Lady Eagle cross country teams competed at the Webster City Lynx Invitational on Tuesday, September 2. The Eagles competed well against ranked teams in all four classes.

Jana Willard led the Lady Eagles clocking in at 17:24.97, good for a sixth place overall finish. Cynthia Trujillo, Madison Anderson, Alix Rethman and Sammi Simons were the Lady Eagles second, third, fourth and fifth runners. The team finished 8th overall with 170 points. 

On the boy’s side, Carter Asche led the way finishing 15th overall with a time of 18:17.51. Macaulay King finished 17th overall with a time of 18:20.99. Ben Thompson, Colton Pickering and Brett Maier were Eagle Grove’s third, fourth and fifth runners. The Eagles took third place with 105 points.
