Eagle basketball season ended by Tigers

South Hardin used their home court to its full advantage in scoring a 77-37 district win over Eagle Grove last Wednesday in Eldora. The Tigers were in fi rm control early in going up 41-14 by halftime. Jake Darland and Chase Mason shared leading scorer honors at 15 points each, and were followed by Caden Butler with seven points. Darland posted a double-double in snagging 11 rebounds, eight of those off the defensive glass. Mason and Butler contributed seven each, Austin Purcell two and Ben Olson one.

Darland and Purcell dished out one assist each, with Mason swiping three steals and both Olson and Butler two each. Thomas Matthes made one steal, with Darland and Mason credited with a blocked shot each.
