When Donkey Basketball made its debut in Eagle Grove in 2018, it was the talk of the town for days to follow.  The Eagle Grove Elementary gym was packed with wall-to-wall people.  More than 450 tickets were sold with spectators who laughed till they cried as they watched local riders try to control their donkeys and score baskets while doing it.  The donkeys had other ideas.

Amongst some of the riders were Dr. Dustin Smith, Dr. Jordan Moffitt, Paul van Gorkom, and Dr. Aaron Parrott to mention just a few.  On the winning team were Andy Ettinger, Jim McLaughlin, Tony Willard, Aaron Schafer, Nate Hansen, Brandon Willard, Karla Tweeten, Logan and McKrisitie Willard, and Richard Thacker representing the Oldson’s Plumbing team.

If you were there, you know how much fun it was.  If you missed it, here’s your chance to get in on the excitement because Donkey Basketball is back by popular demand and it’s happening this Sunday night, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Eagle Grove Elementary gym.  The event is being sponsored by the Eagle Grove Music Boosters, to help raise funds for a new sound system in the Robert Blue Middle School auditorium.
