Dicke gves his time and talents to Veterans Tower project

Mike Dicke, a senior at Eagle Grove High School, spent a few days recently working on a project for the Veterans Memorial Tower during shop class.  Dicke assembled these military signs and then sealed them.  He was happy to lend a hand to this project as he has an uncle who has served in the military.  Veterans Tower committee member, Don Deuel (right), said that the idea to place the seals on the tower came from Captain Luke Ascherl of the Iowa Air National Guard, and a resident of Eagle Grove, who spoke during the 2013 Veterans Day Program at Robert Blue Middle School.  “I thought it was a good idea,” said Deuel.  The next step is to place the seals on the south side of the tower, below the red line, so they will be visible to most of the community.  This process will be done by Kelly Amonson and Equimco.
