Cooking up some holiday fun in school

On the last day of school before Christmas break, the Eagle Grove Elementary kindergartners got to do something they usually don’t in the classroom...cook.

It all began with the lunchroom being closed to the elementary students because of the annual Robert Blue Middle School annual Christmas lunch where they invite community members to join them as a way of thanking them for contributions they’ve made to the school over the past year. As a result, the elementary kids were going to be served sack lunches in their rooms. That’s when the kindergarten teachers - Stacy Osborn, Lori Olson, and Haley Larson, decided to have a little bit of educational fun with their students. They would help them prepare their own special Christmas meal.
