Changes coming to Wright Medical Wellness Center

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since the Wright Medical Wellness Center was constructed in Eagle Grove. At the time, Iowa Specialty Hospital (then known as Wright Medical Center) made a rather large contribution to the project in an agreement that they would run and staff the physical therapy department housed inside.

According to Rotary Senior Living Administrator Sam Boeke, two years ago the Rotary board was contacted by Iowa Specialty Hospital requesting that they be let out of the last two years of their Rehabilitation Department contract and have part of their “pre-paid rent” returned.

After some talk whether Iowa Specialty Hospital had in fact made a contribution or “pre-paid rent,” it was ultimately decided that the hospital would maintain leadership of the physical therapy services.
