Career Academy in EG welcomes first students

The Iowa Central Community College Career Academy opened their doors to area high school students for the very first time on Tuesday, Aug. 26.  Fifteen students took their seats as they were welcomed by Colleen Bartlett, the Career Academy specialist.  In the next few years, Iowa Central plans to open more academies in the region, so the Eagle Grove site will be serving as a model facility.  Although classes have started, Bartlett also told the students that construction of more classrooms would be taking place this fall.  Students from Eagle Grove, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, Northeast Hamilton, St. Edmond Catholic School, Fort Dodge, and Webster City are or will be attending the Academy.
