Can you find this blue pinwheel

Searching for something hidden for the chance to win a prize sounds like a lot of fun, but the cause it’s supporting is no laughing matter.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and this blue pinwheel, sponsored by the Prevent Child Abuse Iowa Council and the Parent Connection Program, is a reminder that doing things together as a family promotes a healthy family lifestyle.

Wright County ranks #2 in confirmed sex abuse cases. Chances are you know someone who has been sexually abused, you just don’t know that they have been sexually abused. One in five girls, and one in 10 boys in Wright County have been sexually abused before their 18th birthday. Statistics show that in 90 percent of these cases, the abuser is someone they know and trust.

This blue pinwheel will be moved every day throughout the month of April. It can be found in Eagle Grove, Humboldt, and Webster City.
