Brewed to perfection: The Farm now features a Coffee Shop

The crisp fall air is upon us, and winter isn’t too far away. What better way to stay toasty warm than to enjoy a made-to-order hot cup of specialty coffee?! The best part is, now you can get it right here in Eagle Grove. Take it to go, or sit and catch up with friends in the quaint atmosphere of The Farm, located on the corner of Broadway and Commercial Ave.

Rich and Jessica Christensen first opened The Farm in 2015, offering homemade meals to go or a party room in the back for small catered parties. Up front was a unique selection of gifts unlike anything else you would find in town. In September of 2017, their son, Josh, and their comanager, Candice Martin, started talking one day. Their conversation was about how Eagle Grove had no real coffee shop that catered to the taste buds of those who preferred something more than the basic options. They decided The Farm would be the perfect place to offer those varieties.

“We had customers coming in wishing we had a coffee house in town again,” said Martin.

So they ran it by Jessica, whose response was, “I don’t drink coffee...I know nothing about it.” Candice said that she and Josh reassured her, “We got this.”
