Beulah Beisell

Beulah Faye (Rice) Beisell, passed away on Saturday September 19, 2020 at the age of 90.

Beulah, the daughter Myrtle Irene (Cleveland) Sadler and Roy L. Rice was born 5-25-30 in Renwick Iowa and attended school in Renwick and Eagle Grove. She graduated from Blairsburg High School in 1948.

Beulah worked at Scott 5 and 10 in Eagle Grove the summer of 1946 and the Boston Store in Fort Dodge the summer of 1947. The summer of 1948 found her clerking at Koethe’s Five and Dime in Clarion. She also worked at Sheakley’s Women’s Apparel and Solbach Drug while in Algona as well as office supply stores in Mesa, AZ.

In November 1948 she married Richard Ray Beisell of Goldfield at the First Methodist Church, presided by Rev. Fred Schultz. They were married 66 years living in Clarion and Algona in Iowa before moving to Mesa, Arizona in 1975. Together they enjoyed time with their family, RV park friends, camping, and many annual trips back to Iowa to visit many friends and relatives. Bea was a Cub Scout Den Mother in both Clarion and Algona and avid supporter of Boy Scout Troop 70 in Algona where Dick was Scoutmaster for many years. Richard died in 2015.

They have two sons, David ( Colleen) residing in Minneapolis MN and Daniel living in Mesa AZ, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
