Aaron Eilerts Day inspired project will benefit EGHS senior

Every year during Aaron Eilerts Day of Service and Giving there is at least a couple new projects that the kids can choose to do. One of those this year was making spirit buttons with Meghan Erdman in the art room. Students were able to let their creativity soar as they used purple and gold, yellow, black, metallic and more paper to build the foundations of their buttons. There were also markers and punches and all kinds of options for them to embellish the circles.

Some kids tapped into their abstract side creating masterpieces made of color patchwork. Others chose a specific sport to highlight of the Eagles. Still others made buttons that offered a light-hearted flair featuring things that they enjoy...like pineapples.

When they were finished, they brought their circles up to Mrs. Erdman who then used a button press to cover them and apply the pen.
