100 days smarter in Eagle Grove

Eagle Grove Elementary students in kindergarten and first grade celebrated their 100th day of school on Friday, Jan. 29. Each child was encouraged to create a piece of artwork at home with their parents featuring 100 items, then bring them back to school to be put on display. In the classroom, some kids ate 100 pieces of cereal. Some colored 100th day hats like Jen Conaway’s first graders (pictured below). All of them had teachers who decorated their classroom’s doorway for the kids to walk through Friday morning, like Ashley Flatebo did (pictured at right). Conaway’s class is pictured also holding their Coaches vs. Cancer ribbons they decorated for Friday evening’s fundraising event to fight cancer. See more 100th day photos on page 2.
